smartcelTM clima Functionality

 

The smartcelTM clima technology allows for the production of fibers which behave very much like a "micro heat accumulator" with extraordinary potential.

 

The smartcelTM clima fiber is a PCM (Phase Changing Material) micro composite based fiber of the latest manufacturing generation with thermo regulating features. It's an essential technological and functional improvement in comparison to the classic phase changing materials on the market.

 

Natural paraffin derived from sustainable sources is embedded in highly crystalline way, yielding a tear-resistant and functional fiber. Patents are pending for this production process. Unequaled in the concentration of micro composite accumulators per volume unit of cellulosic fiber, which allows for a much heat capacity storage in textiles as usually possible.

Textiles manufactured on th basis of smartcelTM clima can absorb excessive body heat or dispense it. This way a constant temperature regulation is achieved, providing extraordinary wearing comfort and an excellent micro climate near the wearers body.

smartcelTM clima provides high heat absorption capacity of up to 60 joules per gram of fiber. Depending on the choice of paraffin, the temperature of the maximum heat absorption or heat dissipation can be adjusted according to the application and stable temperatures can be achieved within a specific time period.

 

 

Additional features

 

smartcelTM clima provides excellent textile manufacturing and consistent dyeing features. Even with high paraffin filling levels the surface of the fiber remains smooth, with a classic finish and processability. This makes the fiber resilient against mechanical and chemical influences which yields no degradation of performance during washing of the fibers and textiles.
